Alpenglow Fitness is hosting four training rides in advance of the Muddy Onion, Rasputista and Waterbury Gravel Grinder—though anyone who wants to get more miles in the saddle is welcome to attend these classes, participating in an organized gravel ride is certainly not mandatory!

Each 90-minute ride is designed to strengthen your legs, improve your cardio, build endurance, and get more comfortable spending longer amounts of time in the saddle. The format will be a longer version of a studio cycle class (hills, sprints, various seat positions), with longer recovery periods built in.

All you need to bring are clean shoes and a water bottle, and you might want to bring an extra shirt as we’ll be working hard and you’ll be sweating! We’ll provide light refreshments and you are welcome to bring your energy food of choice.

If you don’t have any cycling experience, you are still absolutely welcome to come, though we do suggest attending a few 45-minute studio cycling classes ahead of time to become familiar with the bikes and class structure.
